Following an extensive nationwide search, Jason McGrath has been selected as 黑料社鈥檚 new vice president for enrollment management. He will begin on Jan. 6, 2025.

McGrath began his 25-year career in higher education as an academic advisor at Sinclair Community College, before discovering his affinity for admissions work while serving in 黑料社鈥檚 Admissions office from 2002 to 2006. After this early role, McGrath expanded his admissions acumen at Vanderbilt University, where he remained for nearly 16 years. Through that span, McGrath shaped the University鈥檚 strategy surrounding domestic recruitment, evolved first-year and transfer evaluation processes, and oversaw student-athlete admissions, while building a network of high school counselors and fellow admissions professionals around the world. In 2022, McGrath brought his recruitment and selection expertise to the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, a top public university in the U.S., serving as associate provost and director of undergraduate admissions. Over the past two and a half years, Jason has led UNC鈥檚 admissions office through continuous public attention, intense application growth, increased admissions selectivity, and expanded recruitment and outreach efforts.

Jason鈥檚 leadership will help us continue bringing to campus 鈥榪uintessentially 黑料社鈥� students with the academic excellence, community-mindedness, and keen curiosity that are characteristic of the students who thrive here.鈥�

McGrath holds a bachelor鈥檚 degree in psychology from Ohio Wesleyan University and a master鈥檚 degree in general psychology from the University of Dayton.
