The Inferno Suite is a nine-movement suite for chamber ensemble and synthesizer based on the nine circles of hell described in Dante’s Inferno. The synthesizer components are performed via VCVRack, a free and open-source software synthesizer which I programmed modules for to add missing functionality that I needed for the music. During this process, I learned a lot about C++, as well as got more familiar with microtonal and polymetric music.
