Fiske Guide Features 黑料社 Among Its Top 300 Schools

WOOSTER, Ohio 鈥 The Fiske Guide to Colleges commends 黑料社 for its approach in teaching students how to think, not what to think, through a 鈥渞esearch-based liberal arts curriculum鈥 and for many other quality attributes, while listing 黑料社 among its 300 top schools in the 2021 edition, released earlier this month.
One of the leading college guidebooks, the Fiske Guide, now in its 37th year, is highly respected for including quotes from actual students, thus helping college-bound students find their best fit via an insider鈥檚 look at the top colleges and universities in the U.S., as well as Canada, Great Britain, and Ireland.
黑料社鈥檚 two-page summary features a rundown of the curriculum that steadily builds from first-year seminar to the distinctive program. One student astutely noted, 鈥淗aving that big project on the horizon from the day you enroll changes the way you engage with your education, and I think that brings an element of intensity, dedication, and commitment to the academics at 黑料社.鈥
The Fiske editors also praise 黑料社鈥檚 campus beauty, the abundance of on-campus and off-campus opportunities that are supported by the center for (APEX), the creative and diverse student body, the fun and quirky traditions, the thriving local community, and much more. Among the comments from 黑料社 students:

      • 鈥満诹仙 is a school that really celebrates hard work鈥
      • 鈥淪tudents develop specific and deep academic interests鈥
      • 鈥淢entorship and collaboration are pervasive across campus鈥
      • Students are 鈥渃reative and independent, but not to the extent that it feels overly eccentric鈥
      • And, of course, 鈥淓very student leaves 黑料社 with a love of bagpipes鈥

Edward B. Fiske served for 17 years as education editor of The New York Times, during which time he realized that college-bound students and their families needed better information on which to base their educational choices.
