History major learns the value of the subject for local communities

As a history major, Ingrid Buckley β20 found her love of history flourished during her APEX Fellowship at the Southeast Ohio History Center. βThe Southeast Ohio History Center is an organization I had the pleasure of getting to know throughout the past two years,β said Buckley. Located in Athens, Ohio, the center collects, preserves, and shares Southeast Ohioβs unique cultural and natural heritage. Through her APEX Fellowship, Buckley noticed historyβs ability to support oneβs local community. βValuing local history is important,β said Buckley, βby doing so, you give value to your community.β Buckley hopes toΜύcontinue community service through education. βThis internship provided me with valuable skills for this profession and has helped me to make connections for any future pursuits within this field.βΜύ
